What just happened?

Yesterday started out so bright and sunny. And even though it was cold, there was

still the sound of chipper birds singing a Spring tune. Daffodils pushed three inches

out of the ground looking for some love.

Then.....POW!!!!

Mother Nature, you silly temptress, you got me again.

Ten days ago we had 5 inches of fresh snow.

Today, well, we have the fresh breath of Spring.

The change of seasons is always so exciting and energizing for me.

Take in the View | Snow Day, Part Deux

Another snow day.

We could start getting used to this.

Instead of going outside (The Boy is still fighting off a yucky cough) we decided 

to do a fun project inside the warm confines of home.

I hadn't expected to bring these out so soon.  I had planned to have a surprise craft

over Holiday break.  Oh well.  It was the perfect snow day activity!

These really big gingerbread man cookie kits from Trader Joe's are awesome.

$3.99.  That's it.  

Buy out the store people.  The kids LOVED it!

Here's what you get...

Extra frosting and some red hots I included.

The Sprite carefully, patiently squeezed frosting onto her giant cookie.

The Boy did the same.

Orange frosting and sprinkle hair...yum!

Well.  Its happened.

Our first snow day of the season!

I can hardly believe it.  We never get a snow day this early in the season.

YIPEE!!!

It may not look it, but Trudie was thrilled to go out. 

"Hi.  Are you going to come out and play with me?"

"Seriously.  Get The Sprite and The Boy and get out here.  It's awesome!"

"Look.  I mean it.  RRRrrrrrrrrr."

Where has the time gone?

I've been wrapped up in joyful chaos.

Things will slow down after Saturday.  For about a week.

Then the beat quickens and we will again be moving at light speed.

But, we will enjoy the pace and the good things that come with it.  

And we will recognize the beauty.

We will relish these moments.

This moment took place about thirty minutes ago.

September is wedding month.

Well, for me anyway.

I mentioned here that it's 10 years this month for my husband and me.

And I wanted to share some honeymoon photos.

However...they're missing.

You know when you haven't needed or wanted something for a looong time and the minute 

you decide you need it or want it - you can't locate it?

This is the situation here.  Right now.  Ugh.

Summer is coming to an end.

I know. 

 It doesn't feel like it.  What, with 90 degree weather and sunny skies.

Homemade ice cream and mosquito bites.

But alas, summer's clutch is loosening.

My sweet sprite starts back to school next week.  Ugh!

At least my baby boy starts back right after Labor Day - but still!

Well, knowing the inevitable was coming, I have 

school clothes, supplies and lunch bags already purchased.

Now what?
